Pakistani security officials clash with supporters of the Movement in Service to the Finality of the Prophet, a religious group, in Islamabad on Saturday as the government tries to disperse protesters who have blocked the main highway for days. (Sohail Shahzad/EPA/EFE/REX/Shutterstock, via Washington Post)We all know Pakistan is home to a lot of militant Islamists. The country has stern laws against anti-Islamic blasphemy, and it’s the place where a hundred thousand people turned out to mourn the Islamofascist assassin of one of their state governors. Pakistan’s pervasive, extremist Islamism once again reared its ugly head, as the Washington Post reports, in the wake of convictions after a mob murdered a university student almost a year ago (Archive. Is cached article):

When an anti-terrorism court sentenced one man to death and 25 others to prison terms Wednesday in the slaying of a student last year in northwest Pakistan [cached], the ruling was meant to send a strong warning that murder in the name of defending Islam would not be tolerated.

But the court’s decision immediately triggered large, angry protest rallies by religious groups in the area, along with homecoming celebrations for those acquitted of the mob beating and shooting death of Mashal Khan last April. Banners welcomed them as heroes of the faith.…

The movement, led by clerics from Pakistan’s largest and generally peaceful Sunni Muslim sect, has swelled since November, when a protest they staged in the capital, Islamabad [cached], ended with the federal government capitulating to their major demands and calling in army leaders to negotiate.

Really, the government of Pakistan is doing what it always does in cases like this: Surrendering to its people’s childish, irrational, violent Islamism. And that’s the reason Pakistan has become a bastion of Islamist extremism; its government won’t really press the issue, discipline their own people and force them to grow the fuck up already. Instead, they indulge the infantile rabble, because they haven’t the fortitude to deal with the inevitable backlash.

Will Pakistan’s One of the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons, via Assyrian Information Management military do anything about this? I don’t expect it. This is the same military that let none other than Osama bin-Laden live for years just under a thousand yards from their own equivalent of West Point, without ever having offered any explanation for how that happened.

As for blasphemy Lars Vilks Muhammad cartoon, via Gawker being a crime that must be punished with death … well, that’s just fucking ridiculous. Blasphemy is no crime at all, because it never harms anything. (Except maybe for believers’ feelings.) Islam won’t be damaged just because there was a non-believer on a university campus. It won’t be damaged if someone burns a Qur’an. It won’t be damaged if people draw cartoons of Mohammad. It simply won’t. Islam will continue on, as it always has, in spite of anyone’s “blasphemy.”

As I always do when blogging about the topic of murderous anti-blasphemy rage among Muslims, I’ve decorated this post with a couple added blasphemous graphics … just to tweak any infantile Islamofascists who might happen to see it. Boo hoo hoo, little babies. Book hoo!

Mob with pitchforks / Rockford (IL) Register StarYes, folks, it’s true. There are actually Christians in the US who think freedom of religion is a terrible thing. Or more precisely … they like it, but when applied only to themselves. That is, they think everyone is free to be a Christian — but only a Christian; they’re not free to be anything else (cached), or to have no religion at all.

An example of this sort of thinking was evident late last week in Spring, TX. According to KTRK-TV in Houston, Christians there protested the opening of a “Luciferian” church (cached):

Protest and prayer filled the air outside of Spring’s newest church Friday evening: the Greater Church of Lucifer.…

Some protesters made their way onto the property, only to be escorted off by Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies.

“This is what we get when we have Freedom of Religion,” said protester Christine Weick.

This was the group’s first meeting at its first building, which is smack dab in the middle of Old Town Spring.

There’s more than a little magical thinking going on among this crowd of militant Christianist protesters:

“We are all Christians here, together against this,” [Weick] said. “We ought to be filling up the whole street here that they have to pass through us to get into that church.”

Clearly, Weick thinks that these horrific Luciferians having to run a gantlet of devout Christian protesters will magically make them take Jesus Christ as their Personal Lord & Savior® or something. That, of course, is just as insipid and idiotic as thinking Ten Commandments monuments in courthouses will magically make the whole country law-abiding.

As I always do when I see stories like this, I will issue this challenge to any and all Christianists who sincerely think “religious freedom” applies only to them and no one else: If you really think that, then track me down and force this cynical, godless agnostic heathen to convert to Christianity, whichever form of it you think I’m obliged to join. Go right ahead. Do it. I dare you! Lock and load. I won’t fight back, but I also won’t willingly convert … no matter what you do. That said, you’re free to give it your best shot. And why wouldn’t you? You already think I’m obliged, as an American living in your precious “Christian nation,” to become a Christian. What logical reason would you have not to at least try to make that happen with me?

A police officer helped an injured man. Gay rights marchers said priests from the Georgian Orthodox Church led the charge past police cordons. Reuters photo, via the New York Times.A couple of weeks ago, in Tbilisi, the capitol of the country of Georgia, a gay-rights rally was held. But it seems the Georgian Orthodox Church would have none of it. They’d prepared for it, and as the New York Times reports, launched a massive attack on it: (WebCite cached article):

A throng of thousands led by priests in black robes surged through police cordons in downtown Tbilisi, Georgia, on Friday and attacked a group of about 50 gay rights demonstrators.

Carrying banners reading “No to mental genocide” and “No to gays,” the masses of mostly young men began by hurling rocks and eggs at the gay rights demonstrators.

The police pushed most of the demonstrators onto yellow minibuses to evacuate them from the scene, but, the attackers swarmed the buses, trying to break the windows with metal gratings, trash cans, rocks and even fists.

Here’s the Youtube video that the Times linked to:

First, I have to make this observation: These Georgian Orthodox priests needed to gather up thousands of supporters, in order to take on some 50 gay-rights marchers!? Seriously? What sniveling little crybaby cowards they are!

Lest one think this is just a case of a handful of rogue priests operating outside the sanction of the Georgian Orthodox Church, the leader of that organization made his opinion of gays clear:

In a statement Wednesday, the leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Ilia II, compared homosexuals to drug addicts and called the rally a “violation of the rights of the majority” of Georgians.

Hopefully I understand this correctly, Patriarch: It’s an unacceptable violation of your rights for a handful of gays to stage a march, but not a violation of their rights for your own priests to lead a mob to attack them? Did I get that right? I really want to be sure I understand this, because obviously it’s very important to you. So please, correct me if I haven’t gotten it right. Still … somehow, I think I’ve hit the nail on the head. Religionists typically see themselves as being the only ones with “rights,” and believe others have none at all. Even though this is a remarkably evil point of view, it’s actually very common.

Let’s also not assume the Georgian government didn’t play any part in this. The police who’d ostensibly been there to protect the gay-rights marchers, didn’t exactly do much to stop the priests and their mob, in the first place:

In a telephone interview, Mr. Vacharadze of Identoba said that priests from the Georgian Orthodox Church had led the charge that broke through a heavy police corridor.

“The priests entered, the priests broke the fences and the police didn’t stop them, because the priests are above the law in Georgia,” he said.

Sure, police did try to help the marchers … but they did so only after they’d been attacked. Even now, the Georgian government’s non-response is chilling, as the Times has reported since (cached):

Some of the priests leading the rock-throwing throngs who stormed past police cordons could be seen participating in the melee; one repeatedly slammed a stool into the windshield of one of several minibuses trying to carry the marchers to safety, while another punched marchers and tried to drag a driver out of a bus. Some gave their names in interviews.

But as of Sunday, the Georgian police have made no arrests, and there are few signs that the investigation is moving forward.

And Georgian Orthodox hierarchs are defending the assault:

Instead, a bishop who helped to organize the mass turnout — ostensibly a counterprotest — said from the pulpit that while the violence was “regrettable” and those who committed it should be punished, the Georgian Orthodox Church was obligated to protest the gay rights rally and would “not allow anyone to humiliate us.”

So in the name of not permitting the Georgian Orthodox Church to be “humiliated” at the hands of some 50 protesters, it was apparently necessary for tens of thousands of angry Georgians led by dozens of sanctimoniously-enraged priests to attempt to kill them.

I’ve previously blogged about the immature tendency of Muslims in certain parts of the world to riot, rage and even kill over things that bother them. Here, then, is an example of this happening, but among Christians instead. Georgia is, indeed, very Christian … that land was converted to the faith back in the 4th century, and it’s by far the dominant religion there. Here we have incontrovertible evidence that religiously-motivated violence is not solely triggered by Islam, and cultural immaturity isn’t limited solely to primarily-Muslim countries. Despite the fact that Christians market their religion as “the Religion of Love,” it’s clear that Christians limit their “love” only to those who think like themselves and are willing to strictly obey their dour doctrines.

Supporters of Islamic political parties burn and kick an effigy of a blogger inside a madrassa, or religious school, during a nationwide strike in Dhaka on February 24, 2013. Islamists demanding the execution of bloggers they accuse of blasphemy clashed with police in Bangladesh for a third straight day Sunday, and at least four protesters were killed when police opened fire (AFP Photo)This is such an old story, I almost don’t want to blog about it any more. The Islamic world’s inherent and pervasive immaturity continually rears its head, every time something happens that Muslims think is an insult to their religion. All too often, that immaturity results in people being killed, simply because too many Muslims cannot, and will not, control their fury and rage over what they perceive as affronts to Islam and its founding prophet. The AFP via Yahoo News reports on the latest example of people being killed because of this juvenile murderous impulse (WebCite cached article):

Islamists demanding the execution of bloggers they accuse of blasphemy clashed with police in Bangladesh for a third straight day Sunday, and at least four protesters were killed when police opened fire.

Up to 3,000 protesters, including students from religious schools known as madrassas and supporters of the main opposition party, barricaded a highway at Singair in the central district of Manikganj, police said.

The protests, and the killings that resulted, have been brewing for some time:

The violence broke out as 12 small Islamic parties, backed by the largest Islamic group Jamaat-e-Islami and main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party, called a nationwide strike in protest at Friday’s police action against Islamists.

Four people were killed, three in police shooting, and about 200 injured during Friday’s protests by tens of thousands of Islamists demanding the hanging of bloggers whom they say blasphemed Islam and the Prophet Mohammed.

Tensions have risen over allegedly anti-Islamic blog posts by Ahmed Rajib Haider, who was hacked to death last week near his home in Dhaka.

In recent weeks Haider and fellow bloggers had launched massive protests demanding a ban on the Jamaat-e-Islami, and the execution of its leaders for alleged war crimes in the 1971 independence struggle against Pakistan.

The government of Bangladesh has been trying to pacify the santimoniously-enraged childish Islamists by cranking up the censorship:

The government has warned of tough steps against those who incite social tension, and urged newspapers and blogs not to publish defamatory writings against the Prophet Mohammed.

It has cracked down on anti-Islam blogs and also given police protection to some bloggers in the wake of Haider’s murder.

Keep it upJyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoon, via Assyrian International News Agency, crybaby Muslims. By all means, please continue killing people because people blasphemed against your almighty deity, and insulted your blessed prophet. Continue raging, fuming, blustering, rioting, smashing, burning, and murdering because you haven’t got the maturity to handle the fact that not everyone else believes what you believe.

Also, I cordially invite you to keep stomping around demanding that your dour, uncompromising religionism — and the metaphysically-propagated immaturity that goes along with it — be “respected” by everyone else, regardless of whatever horrible things you may have done in its name. Yes, this means you should continue telling us … as the giant head did in The Wizard of Oz … never to pay attention to the man behind the curtain.

Yes, that’s right. Jyllands-Posten Mohammad Cartoon / 'Stop, stop, we ran out of virgins!' / via AINAI want you to keep indulging your murderous immaturity. I want you to keep providing the rest of the world with ongoing examples of what is wrong with being enslaved by primitive metaphysical thinking. I want you to keep showing us your barbarism so we won’t forget what metaphysics can do to people.

Oh, and just to egg you sniveling little babies on a little more, I’ve included a couple of anti-Islam cartoons in this blog post. Please, use their presence here to justify yet more riots and killings in the name of preventing your religion and your prophet from being “dissed” by this cynical, cold-hearted, godless agnostic heathen.

P.S. I am, of course, being facetious when I say I want Muslims to keep throwing tantrums — even if what they’re doing proves the point I’ve been making for many years. I’d much rather they become mature and learn to live with the fact that not everyone believes what they do.

Comments Comments Off on People Are Getting Killed In Bangladesh Over Anti-Islam Bloggers

Protesters set a cinema ablaze on Friday in Peshawar, Pakistan. Violence there began early, and two people, including a television station employee, were killed. Mohammad Sajjad/Associated Press, via the NY Times.Apparently the Muslim world hasn’t gotten over the fact that a Neocrusading Coptic Christian crank apparently dared make a movie that dissed their Mohammed. The New York Times reports that mobs of Muslims in (where else?) Pakistan have decided that wanton slaughter is a useful way to deal with that fact (locally-cached article):

Violent crowds furious over an anti-Islamic video made in the United States convulsed Pakistan’s largest cities on Friday, leaving up to 19 people dead and more than 160 injured in a day of government-sanctioned protests.

It was the worst single day of violence in a Muslim country over the video, “Innocence of Muslims,” since protests began nearly two weeks ago in Egypt, before spreading to two dozen countries. Protesters have ignored the United States government’s denunciation of the video.

It all started with good intentions, you see. The Pakistanis had organized this nice, peaceful protest in which everyone was supposed to sing Kum Ba Ya or something, but it seems to have gotten just slightly out of hand:

Peaceful protests had been approved by Pakistan’s government, which declared Friday a national holiday, the Day of Love for the Prophet Muhammad. The move was part of an effort to either control or politically capitalize on rage against the inflammatory video, which depicts Muhammad, the founder of Islam, as a sexually perverted buffoon.

Exactly how the Pakistanis went from having their gentle holiday with a peaceful protest, to slaughtering people all over the place, is a complete mystery.

At least, the Times doesn’t bother to explain it. Unlike them, I can explain it. It’s called “religiously-propagated cultural immaturity.” Time for Pakistanis … and the rest of the world’s Muslims … to fucking grow the hell up for the first time in their sniveling little lives.

Image by Lars Vilks published in Nerkes AllehandaJust in case Muslims need to be goaded into pitching more fits, I’ve added a couple of incendiary cartoons to this post. You guys really need to get hold of yourselves. Remember: I can keep this up just as long as you can. And you know what? Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoon, via Assyrian International News AgencyThere’s absolutely nothing you can do to stop me. Rage and riot all you like … but these, and other pictures that may offend you, aren’t going away. Ever.

Comments Comments Off on Muslims Continue Rioting And Killing Over Anti-Islam Movie

A Muslim protester shouts slogans during a protest in front of the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia (9/17/2012). Beawiharta / Reuters, via the Washington Post. The steady parade of incredible childishness continues, around the Muslim world. The poor little things just can’t handle the fact that some insolent, Neocrusading Coptic Christian living in California dared make a movie that mocked their precious prophet Muhammad. Things had settled down a bit since the height of the fury late last week, but the Washington Post reports things have kicked up again, including in Beirut, Lebanon (WebCite cached article):

Tens of thousands of people hit the streets of Beirut to protest the controversial video mocking the prophet Muhammad on Monday, a massive rally organized by the Shiite Muslim militant group Hezbollah that was also an attempt to show the party’s strength.

Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, made a rare public appearance around 6 p.m. local time and led the crowds in chants pledging martyrdom to the prophet Muhammad.

“The world should know our anger will not be a passing outburst but that this is the start of a serious movement that will continue all over the Muslim world to defend the Prophet of God,” he told the crowd, who roared their approval as he spoke. Nasrallah also warned the U.S. that if the full anti-Islam movie is released, rather than the short clip that has been posted on YouTube, there will be “dangerous consequences.” The video supposedly promotes a full-length film.

The WaPo notes that different Islamic factions are trying to one-up each other in this effort to protest the movie “Innocence of Muslims”:

Sunni leaders, not to be outdone by their Shiite counterparts, also announced more protests on Monday. The controversial Sunni sheikh Ahmad Assir, who is based in the city of Sidon, announced a demonstration for his followers later this week.

Yes, guys, that’s the way to show the world how wonderful your religion is! Get into a pissing contest with your rival sects to show which of you can be more immature and violent. Well done, Muslims! You must be so proud! Why, I am just so impressed by all of you … it makes me want to run right out and start worshipping al-Lah along with you!!!

NOT … !

Comments Comments Off on Muslims Worldwide Continue Their Tantrum Over Anti-Islam Movie

Crusaders battleThe nation’s Neocrusaders continue their war against Islam within the US. They really don’t care that what they’re doing is wrong, because — according to them — the Constitutional principle of religious freedom doesn’t apply to Islam. And they’re so insanely, childishly furious about the existence of Islam, that they sometimes miss their targets. An example of this can be seen in this report filed by The Atlantic‘s Wire blog (WebCite cached article):

Some vigilant citizens in Phoenix, Arizona are up in arms over a domed church that they wrongly believe to be a mosque. The large building, still under construction along a busy interstate, is actually a nondenominational church.

That’s right, the horrific mosque that Arizona’s Neocrusaders are up in arms about, is actually a church! Said church has even taken measures to defuse the furious Neocrusaders:

The backlash has been severe enough that the church’s leaders have hung a giant banner over the dome: “IF YOU THINK DIFFERENT YOU ARE WRONG — WE ARE BUILDING A CHRISTIAN HOUSE OF WORSHIP.”

It’s not as though domed churches have never been built anywhere, but apparently, the Neocrusaders think there are none and assume any domed structure must be a mosque.

Isn’t it time for you people to grow the fuck up already?
